With a Master's degree in Composition from the esteemed New Zealand School of Music, her true passion lies in songwriting, electronic music production, and composing for film. Briar's musical journey encompasses diverse genres, including Balkan folk, Javanese gamelan, flamenco, Latin, jazz, and Greek traditional music, reflecting her Greek New Zealand heritage. Her compositions explore folkloric themes driven by rhythm and harmony. As an experienced vocal coach and session vocalist, she has lent her voice to various film, TV, and music projects. Now, meet the Moth Quartet, a Te Whanganui-a-Tara-based string quartet. Comprised of Tristan Carter, Salina Fisher, Elliot Vaughan, and Nicholas Denton Protsack, they are celebrated composers who collaborate across disciplines, perform their friends' music, and create improvised pieces for live and recorded settings.
